Claude Debussy, being a prominent example of composers influenced by multiple aesthetic sources in French music was hugely inspired by Verlaine’s poem “Clair de lune.” Verlaine had mentioned “bergamasks” in the poem- a clumsy dance performed by the inhabitants of Bergamo. Debussy utilized its French version- hence the birth of “bergamasque”.

"Suite bergamasque" has threaded some unconventional waters, breaking through various musical tonalities, modes, structures, harmonic textures, oozing rich impressionistic caliber, with a somewhat mysterious origin which truly became Debussy's legendary composition in the field of solo piano pieces.

Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714-1788) had a very interesting life. Despite the fact that he was constantly overshadowed and overlooked by his famous father Johann Sebastian Bach, he was able to find his own unorthodox music style, making him famous being the most significant originator of “absolute music,” which was the dominated art throughout the 19th century.

C.P.E. Bach gave importance to intimacy rather than elegance and chose passion over poise and balance. His compositions oozed of literary aesthetics, forging a direct emotional connection between the composer and listener, hence, his masterpieces had more emotional expressions along with exceptional technical proficiency.
