Olivier Messiaen (1908-1992) was a musically gifted French composer, organist and teacher who manifested a deep loyalty towards nature, Catholicism and exoticism.

He expanded the domains of classical music, introduced the world to the sounds of nature. He slowly started studying the birdsongs, eastern rhythm, microtonal music extensively and his exploration of the relationship between music and time. He developed his own unique style of blending rhythm, color, and harmony into the most serene orchestrations which made his works very distinctive  and influential!

No other musician of the 20th century had explored the realms of spirituality with such unflinching directness than him. He won several awards and musical citations, even earning the highest musical honor and anointed to the highest rank of the Légion d'honneur which inspired him more of dedicating his life to this art.

Russian composer Dmitry Kabalevsky (1904-1987) was known for his socialist works and political affiliation.

Though highly-controversial and bureaucratic, his works for children were his most important contributions to the musical world. He firmly believed that neither life or music could exist without children. Although he never received much popularity in the west due to his political stance, he had extraordinary and extensive melodious legacy left behind. He received the “Stalin's Prize” twice along with numerous State prizes and perquisites. He was anointed as the “People’s Artist of USSR” and further awarded the “Order of Lenin.” He was also honored as the “Hero of Socialist Labor” in 1974.

His musical heritage clearly signified the most important characteristics of his personality– a symbiotic connection to his surroundings and immaculate depth of perception.

“Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, BWV 565" was crafted by Johann Sebastian Bach as a two-part composition for organ. The masterpiece was widely accredited for its propelling rhythm, dramatic authority, and majestic notes.

The date of creation is debated, with the actual period speculated to be before 1708. Similar to most of Bach’s organ works, there are no autographed manuscripts of BWV 565, only source remaining is an undated copy crafted by “Johannes Ringk,” a student of the famous composer Johann Peter Kellner.

Since 1931, this remarkable composition rose to prominence and had been used for a lot of times either in cinematic adaptations or in musical rearrangements for albums and musical tracks.
