It is a story of two talented performers Harry Palmer and Jo Hayden who decided to play the Palace Theatre on Broadway while America is on the verge of World War 1. They want to get married after staging the play that bears the hallmark of vaudeville's success.
Nevertheless, there had been plots and twists in their romance as the war broke. After the war got concluded, the Palace Theatre opened to celebrate the victory when Jo performed on the stage the song “When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again.” While performing, Jo was able to see Harry in the crowd. She ran toward him in great surprise and overwhelming happiness. They got united on the stage as the infamous song “For Me and My Gal” played, performing the first song that they performed together.
